Safeway Construction (“Safeway Construction,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) built the Safeway Project Estimator mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use the App and related services.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1) Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information depending on how you use the App:

A. Information You Provide

You may provide information when using the App, such as:

  • Project details (project name, scope notes, quantities, cost inputs)

  • Labor/material pricing entries

  • Notes and estimates you create

  • Contact information (if you contact support), such as name, email, phone number

B. Automatically Collected Information

When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

  • Device information (device type, operating system version)

  • App usage information (screens visited, feature usage, performance logs)

  • IP address (approximate location may be inferred from IP)

  • Crash logs and diagnostic information

C. Photos / Files (If You Choose to Upload)

If the App allows you to upload files (such as project photos, PDFs, or documents), we collect the content you upload only when you choose to provide it.

D. Location Information (If Enabled)

The App may request access to location services only if required for features (for example, tagging job locations). You can control location permissions through your device settings.

2) How We Use Your Information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the App features (project estimating, calculations, saving estimates)

  • To store and display your projects and estimate history

  • To improve performance and fix bugs

  • To respond to support requests

  • To prevent fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access

  • To comply with legal obligations

3) Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information only in these limited situations:

A. Service Providers

We may share information with third-party vendors that help us operate the App, such as:

  • Cloud hosting/storage providers

  • Analytics providers (to understand app usage)

  • Crash reporting providers (to diagnose errors)

These providers may only use your information to perform services on our behalf and must protect it.

B. Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

C. Business Transfers

If Safeway Construction is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4) Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to:

  • Provide the App

  • Comply with legal obligations

  • Resolve disputes

  • Enforce agreements

You may request deletion of your data by contacting us (see Section 10).

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

  • Accessing the information we hold about you

  • Correcting inaccurate information

  • Requesting deletion of your information

  • Objecting to or restricting processing

7) Children’s Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain regions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, please contact us and we will delete it.

8) Third-Party Services and Links

The App may integrate with third-party services (for example, cloud storage, analytics, or email). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

9) California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA Notice)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, including:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used

  • The right to request deletion of personal information

  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information

  • The right to opt out of sale/sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
